Our program is housed in Shellsburg Elementary School and Tilford Elementary School in the Vinton-Shellsburg Community School District. Frequently asked questions
What ages can enroll in Creative Kids?
Creative Kids currently offers care to kids in kindergarten to 5th grade. Beginning in late August of 2024, Creative Kids will offer wrap around care to 3 and 4 year olds enrolled in Tiny Vikes preschool.
What paperwork is required and how often will it need to be updated?
The paperwork that is required by DHS is a school aged health assessment & immunization declaration, sunscreen application permission, photo release permission, field trip permission, and medication administration (if your child requires medication while in our care). These forms will need to be resigned yearly. All paperwork must be completed before enrollment is accepted.
What are your hours?
We are open 6:00am - 6:00pm.
When will my invoice be due?
Currently, invoices are due monthly and due the 1st of the month. Beginning Summer 2024, invoices will be billed weekly and due on Monday before children attend care.
How can I pay my invoice?
Invoices are paid through the Playground app. There is an option for an ACH pull from your checking account or paying via credit or debit card. There is even an autopay option!
How do staff communicate with families?
Staff will post pictures and announcements on the Playground app. You will receive an app notification and email when an announcement is made. For more timely and important announcements, you will receive a text message from the Playground app with information from Creative Kids.
For a more personal messaging experience, staff and families will utilize the chat feature of the Playground app.
When is information on summer programming released?
Information for the summer program will be released in early spring.
